COVID-19 has had various impacts on the education system in Indonesia, including in relation to disparities in terms of access and student learning outcomes. A study conducted by the Innovation program for Indonesian School Children (INOVASI) and the Center for Policy Research (Puslitjak), Ministry of Education and Culture, shows that there has been a significant learning loss and has resulted in students dropping out of school. This policy brief provides an explanation of the key findings from the learning gap study conducted by the INOVASI and Puslitjak programs, with some recommendations regarding efforts to address these issues.
