This pilot aims to improve early grade student learning outcomes in literacy by enhancing teacher understanding of curriculum content, particularly the early stages of literacy development. It also seeks to improve teachers’ ability to use key processes for literacy development, such as formative assessment, and apply the most effective set of teaching activities and resources to their classroom context. Due to the August 2018 earthquake, which affected several INOVASI partner schools in North Lombok, the pilot underwent a change in direction and instead focused on emergency response schooling. In early 2019, the pilot resumed again in North Lombok. This pilot finished in July 2019.
