Mataram, 25 April 2017 – The NTB provincial government in collaboration with INOVASI, an education partnership program between Indonesia and Australia, today held a ‘Temu Inovasi: Inspiration from Teacher’ which was attended by more than 100 key stakeholders in education including teachers, representatives from local organisations and universities, and government officials of each districts/cities in NTB. Hosted at Graha Bakti Praja, the NTB Governor’s Office, the forum held also as part of the activities to welcome Indonesia national education day.
Opened by the NTB Governor Dr. TGH. M. Zainul Majdi, Temu Inovasi was an opportunity to profile existing teacher innovations from NTB, and discuss the importance of innovation to improving literacy and numeracy student learning outcomes. Speakers included the NTB Governor, representatives from Balitbang, MoEC, and the University of Mataram. In the afternoon, government officials participated in a workshop hosted by INOVASI, to learn how they can find and support innovations in education in their district.
