As a follow-up to the handover of Levelled Books and Interactive Books grants last July, INOVASI held a training session to ensure the use of these books in the learning process in the classroom as well as in mentoring groups of students with different reading abilities. A total of 28 participants attended this training. They were teachers and principals from nine partner elementary schools in the Special Curriculum implementation program in Southwest Sumba (SBD) district who received the grant. Also present were two elementary school supervisors from the SBD Education and Culture Office. The training was held for one day on 15 December, which was preceded by the development of training materials on 14 December. The training took place at the Sinar Tambolaka Hotel and was facilitated by two SBD  district facilitators with support from INOVASI.

This activity was opened by the Head of the SBD Education and Culture Office, Didimus Pati Mete. In his direction, Didimus advised that the knowledge gained in this training should really be applied in each school. He also hoped that teachers and principals from the nine schools participating in the training would become models for other schools, especially in literacy activities in Southwest Sumba.
